David C. Jiles, ECpE’s Palmer Endowed Department Chair and Anson Marston Distinguished Professor, has issued a challenge for anyone willing to participate. Dr. Jiles will play a game of chess blindfolded against any single non-blindfolded opponent, and will donate $100 to the Story County United Way for any game he loses. Dr. Jiles will employ a surrogate to make his moves on a physical board and call out opponent moves verbally. Play will be governed by the FIDE Laws of Chess unless otherwise stated.
Entry fee is 10 dollars per person, all of which will be donated to the Story County United Way.
