Ren Russie

Ren Russie (BSEE ’77) is the Vice President of quality assurance for Boston CRM in St. Paul, Minnesota. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Iowa State University in 1977. After two years at Sperry Univac Defense Systems developing computers for airborne applications, he joined Cardiac Pacemakers, Inc. (CPI) in St. Paul, Minnesota, as an integrated circuit designer. As CPI became a part of Guidant Corporation, later purchased by Boston Scientific, Russie served in a number of leadership roles in the design and development of pacemaker and implantable defibrillator products. He has been in Quality Assurance for seven years. He is a member of IEEE and the Heart Rhythm Society, and he has received six patents. Russie joined the ECpE External Advisory Board in 2001.
