The Applied Microwave Nondestructive Testing Laboratory (amntl) is located in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECpE) Department at Iowa State University and as part of the Center for Nondestructive Evaluation (CNDE). CNDE is renowned worldwide for its scientists and research in NDE covering many NDE techniques such as Radiography, Eddy Current, Ultra Sound, Thermography, Microwave & Millimeter waves, etc.
Specifically, for microwave and millimeter wave NDE, major activities at amntl include both basic R&D and applied research in the field of microwave and millimeter wave nondestructive testing & evaluation (NDT&E) of complex materials and structures, and testing and imaging system research and development.
