Microprocessor and Microsystems Journal Special Issue:

Embedded Multicore Systems: Architecture, Performance and Application

Smart mobile devices demand higher performance of embedded systems. With the recent advances in VLSI technology, multicore processors are getting popular in today's  embedded system; multicore systems can be considered as the established trend in modern architectures.

While these systems are more powerful than ever, application specific architectures, energy consumption, and their applications remain challenge. Silicon resources are becoming increasingly abundant, heterogeneous processing elements can be combined together with many cores on a chip by processor designers. Those architectures, while providing important improvements in system performance, they also pose new research questions that need to be answered. Microprocessor and Microsystems Journal  seeks original submissions for a special issue on Embedded Multicore systems.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

Original submissions, not submitted elsewhere, are being sought for this special issue. Published conference versions should be extended with new contents before submission. All manuscripts and any supplementary material should be submitted through Elsevier Editorial System (EES). The authors must select "SI: Embedded Multicore" when they reach the " Article Type " step in the submission process. The EES website is located at http://ees.elsevier.com/micpro/. All submissions will be rigorously reviewed by experts in this field and will meet the high standards laid by the Microprocessor and Microsystems Journal.
