Michelle (Moseman) Miller

Michelle (Moseman) Miller (BS ComS ’98) is the Senior Director & IP Strategist of Population Health Data Strategy at Cerner Corporation in Kansas City, Missouri.  Miller is responsible for the core data strategy within the HealtheIntent platform, which is a cloud-based, programmable, big data platform that aggregates, normalizes, and standardizes data from disparate source systems across the continuum of care in order to create a longitudinal person record that enables decision support, quality measurement, and analytics for population management. She is the HL7 International Patient Care co-chair and serves on the HL7 Argonaut FHIR Team to define healthcare interoperability standards.  Miller is a certified Crucial Conversations facilitator.  She joined Cerner in June 1998.  Her prior roles include project leader, software architect, and software engineer.  Among her accomplishments, Miller has enabled the software development organization to become data-driven while leading the IP Operations organization, which included business intelligence reporting, regulatory compliance, software development processes, release management, and release documentation.  In addition, she holds two critical care patents and has two more critical care patents filed/pending. She was a charter member of the C++ Programming Language Board, co-founded the IP Ambassador Program, and served on the corporate intern council, corporate policy board, and the business intelligence executive council.  Miller has received a number of awards, including: Iowa State University’s 2006 Outstanding Young Alumni Award, Youth Friends’ 2004 Employer Partner Volunteer of the Year, Cerner Top Gun 2000 and 2001, and Cerner Millennium Club 2003 and 2005.  Miller served a five year term on the Iowa State University Alumni Association Board of Directors.
