Daniel L. Mineck (BSME ’71) is a past chair of the ECpE External Advisory Board and is a recently retired adjunct member of the faculty at University of Iowa College of Engineering and was responsible for Virtual International Project Team program. He is also the retired Vice President of Performance Engineering and Environment at Alliant Energy Corporation in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was employed by Alliant Energy (and predecessor companies) from 1968 – 2004. His roles included: Nuclear Power Plant Manager, Nuclear Division Manager, Fossil Generation Division Manager, Manager Economic Development, VP – Generation Engineering & Environmental Compliance, Corporate Diversity Officer, VP – Generation Plant construction (new), Chairman of the Board – ReGENco (Start-up company for turbine/generator maintenance). Mineck’s relevant not-for-profit board roles include: EPRI-Generation, Nuclear; and Iowa Energy Center.
