THOMAS STUERMER, GLOBAL MANAGING DIRECTOR, ACCENTURE
Tom Stuermer is Accenture’s Global Lead for the Accenture Google Business Group. As lead, Tom works to drive, develop, and guide the practice – focusing on innovation, market differentiation, fostering the business relationship with Google, and managing the hyper-growth of the Google practice.. Tom is recognized for his ability to successfully lead with innovative technologies focused on Digital, Data+AI and Cloud for clients seeking deeper industry specialization and transformation. His human centric approach and innovative design approach empowers leaders to transform at speed and apply innovation and agility. Since joining Accenture in 1993, Tom has worked in widely varying industries from electronics and semiconductors, to medical devices, telecoms, and software. Prior to his new role, he served three years as Accenture’s Global Ecosystem Director defining business strategy, generating + elevating strategic partnerships, and developing the growth of the ecosystem sourcing business. Preceding that role, Tom was the Client Account Lead for several Communications and High-Tech clients – managing a portfolio of Accenture’s High-Tech clients in Silicon Valley.

Online every Friday in academic session, the Student Innovation Center will feature “Flagship Fridays What IF— Innovators Forum,” an interviewer moderated, on-line conversation session with leaders representing a diverse scope and scale of innovation. Our universities do an excellent job of incorporating technical, hands-on and experiential learning. Yet these experiences rarely afford students that window of insight about those behavioral characteristics that drive successful and industry changing innovation. In our What IF sessions, industry mavericks will share their personal stories of innovation as well as their perspective of how, where, when, and why innovation is such a critical driver of social and economic progress and sustainability.
