Title: Circuit Design Techniques for Energy Efficient Data Converters
Abstract: In this talk, energy efficient mixed-signal interfaces developed in my laboratory will be presented. Especially, ultra-low voltage and low power data converter techniques will be focused. For such applications of sensor nodes and medical implantable devices, power scalability at wide frequency range is very important. Systematic approaches to reduce the power consumption at middle frequency range, to improve the maximum operating frequency, and to reduce the leakage power at low frequency ranges will be introduced.
Bio: Hiroki Ishikuro received B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 1994, 1996, and 1999, respectively. In 1999, he joined System LSI Research and Development Center, Toshiba Corp., Kawasaki, Japan, where he was involved in the development of CMOS RF and mixed-signal circuits for wireless transceiver chips. In 2006, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at Keio University as an assistant professor and started a research on low power integrated circuit design. He is currently a professor of Keio University, and focuses on the mixed-signal circuit and system designs for low-power interfaces.
