Title: Climate Action in Iowa City
Abstract: Jim Throgmorton will speak about Iowa City’s climate action plan, energy resources, and local energy policy. This talk is coordinated with the City of Ames.
Bio: Jim Throgmorton taught urban and regional planning at the University of Iowa from 1986 until retiring as an emeritus professor in 2010. He also served on Iowa City’s City Council from 1993 through 1996 and from 2012 through 2019. During the last four years of his term he also served as mayor of the city.
