Chief Engineer, Cybersecurity, Boeing Research and Technology
Ryan Hammond is the Chief Engineer for cyber security in Boeing Research and Technology. He has worked extensively on development of security related avionics devices and being a focal between Boeing and numerous Government agencies involved in the devices’ certification. He routinely develops white paper ideas, writes proposals and leads several research projects in Boeing Research & Technology for cyber and mission assurance. Ryan is a recipient of numerous awards and patents in the areas of cyber security and data filtering. Prior to joining Boeing, he worked for the National Security Agency assessing vulnerabilities of military security devices. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Math from Buena Vista University and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Iowa State University. Ryan is a member of the Boeing Iowa State University Engineering Core Council representing Platform Systems and IT Research. Ryan joined the ECpE External Advisory Board at Iowa State in 2012.
