Title: Electrophoretic Ion Sensor
Abstract: This presentation focuses on an electrophoresis based label-free inorganic ions sensor for detecting soil nutrient components. The approach takes advantage of the fact that ions have different migration rates under an applied electrical potential because of their mobility difference in buffer solution. Here, an electrophoresis chip was fabricated by using a soft lithography based molding process. Then, a high voltage controllable system was designed to act as a power supply and an electronic circuit was made to extract the required signal. Through testing several types of ions, the result indicates our sensor has good performance in ions identification and is sensitive to ion concentration.
