Project Title: Identity and Credential Management for Web-based Services and Private Cloud Project
Project Description: We are looking at the issues related to identity management and trust. In this research, we are going to study various identity management solutions and understand the challenges to deploy them in web-based services and private cloud systems. One special application of this research is to develop a portable trusted device to support online banking-type transactions, even on some untrusted computers. The efforts are consistent with the National Strategy for Targeted Identity in Cyberspace. The resulted work will be a prototype and design of this trusted device.
Anticipated Student Tasks and Responsibilities: The student will conduct a literature survey on identity and credential management and design and prototype a solution for portable trusted device.
Qualifications: Have Java/C++ programming skills and willing to work hard and learn.
