ECpE Graduate Programs Improve in U.S. New Rankings

Ames, Iowa – Iowa State University's electrical and computer engineering graduate programs jumped higher in U.S. News and World Report’s recently released national rankings of graduate and professional schools.

The magazine's graduate rankings, now online at www.usnews.com, rank Iowa State's electrical engineering program 37th and computer engineering program 41st among all American universities with similar programs. The overall number is a jump from last year’s rankings of 41st for both programs.

Additionally, the programs were ranked in the top 25 of the country’s public programs. The electrical engineering program ranked 21st and computer engineering program ranked 25th.

According to U.S. News and Word Report, the rankings are based on peer assessments by engineering deans and senior faculty at institutions throughout the country.
