U.S. House of Representatives Passes Bill Giving $611,000 to Iowa State's Internet Scale Event and Attack Generation Environment

The U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill Monday that would give $611,000 to Iowa State University's and the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering's Internet Scale Event and Attack Generation Environment (ISEAGE), a program that facilitates virtual cyber attacks for research and education purposes. Several other Iowa State and Ames, Iowa-based programs also could receive millions of dollars of funding from this bill. The bill must now be passed by the U.S. Senate and signed by President Bush.
