At the 2009 ECpE Centennial Gala and Awards Ceremony, marking the culmination of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering's 100-year celebration, the department initiated four new awards to annually recognize the achievements of our alumni and service of our friends.
This award recognizes our top alumni who have demonstrated exemplary career achievements in the fields of electrical, computer, or software engineering that have made a major impact on society, on the field, on the profession, or on industry, based on scholarly contributions, professional leadership, or leadership in industry, government or academia.
This award recognizes our alumni who have demonstrated distinctive accomplishments in the field of electrical, computer, or software engineering that have made or are making a significant impact on society, on the field, on the profession, or on industry, based on scholarly contributions, professional leadership, or leadership in industry, government or academia.
This award recognizes an alumnus/a who has demonstrated significant early career accomplishments that distinguish the recipient from his/her peers in the field. These accomplishments should be broadly in the fields of electrical, computer, or software engineering as evidenced by technical accomplishments, leadership, or other activities that have made, are making, or show considerable promise for making a significant impact on society, on the field, on the profession, or on industry.
This award recognizes demonstrated extraordinary service to the department by individuals who are not members of the department's current faculty or staff.
