The College of Engineering makes available an online Scholarship Application Form (you need a CLUE username and password) each year after January 1. The completed form is due February 1.
All engineering students must fill out this form to qualify for scholarships.
These applications are for the upcoming fall and spring semesters.
When asked for your cumulative grade point average (cum GPA), use the cum GPA in the Grade Report in the Grades & Transcripts section of AccessPlus, which includes all courses taken at Iowa State.
In determining resident or nonresident classification, the issue centers around the question: "Why is the individual in the state of Iowa?" For complete information, details and forms about establishing residency in Iowa, please refer to these links:
Taking time to establish residency will have a dramatic impact on the amount of time it will take to acquire a bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering. Make sure you keep these effects in mind if you are considering establishing residency. If you choose to do so, talk with your advisor to work on your new degree plan.
