It can be difficult or impossible to find courses at a sister school that count as one of your core curriculum classes (refer to ECpE Core Classes). Thus, if you must take core curriculum classes while participating in an exchange, you must pick the program carefully.
The other option is to plan on taking care of your general education electives (refer to General Education Electives for details) while participating in one of these programs. It is usually a simple matter to find a range of social science and humanities courses at any participating school.
NOTE: International students can generally participate in these programs just like any other ISU student.
