Peer Advising is a student service that is highly utilized and recognized in universities across the United States. Many studies have shown that academic programs with a peer mentoring/advising/tutoring component tend to have higher retention and academic success rates.
The Electrical and Computer Engineering department recognizes this and sponsors a voluntary peer advising program.
The ECpE Peer Advising program is unique compared to other programs of its kind in similar institutions across the country. Our peer advisors and the students they serve are completely in-house, thereby focusing on the professional development of our own electrical and computer engineers.
The peer advisors are outstanding upper-class ECpE students who volunteer their time to help out their classmates. Use them for questions about academic planning, internships, and professional development--they are a knowledge bank for campus and academic resources.
Do you need specific information on internships, undergraduate research, an area of specialization, or you just want to know which peer advisors share your love of sports?
See the peer advisor bios to find out what kinds of experiences and interests the peer advisors have. You can also e-mail the peer advisors at ecpepeer
