Graduate Room Assignments and Keys

Room Assignment and Keys

When you begin your studies in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECpE), you will be assigned keys and/or access codes for your office space, office building outside doors, and the commonly used computer/research labs.

Follow these steps to receive your room assignment and keys:

  1. On or after the first day of the semester, come to the ECpE Secretary (Hazel Peterson) in 2215 Coover Hall to complete, sign, and/or return your Key Request Application form (that you may have received in your Orientation Packet from ECpE Student Services) and to get your room assignment.
  2. Two days after completing step 1, return to the front desk secretary in 2215 Coover Hall to pick up your FP&M Key Request Signature Sheet.
  3. Take the FP&M Key Request Signature Sheet to 108 General Services Building on the east side of campus to pick up your keys.

In the case of access codes, swipe access on your ISUCard, and proximity access on your ISUCard, activation may take up to 2 business days. Contact the ECpE Secretary in the ECpE Main Office if access is not working after that time frame.

Additional Keys

As you progress in your program of study, your major professor may determine additional keys and access codes needed. To obtain these additional keys/codes, please complete the Additional Key Request Application Form (PDF), including your major professor’s signature. Return the form to the front desk secretary in 2215 Coover Hall.
