Microsoft Developer Network Academic Alliance & ELMS For MSDNAA Software
(Electronic-Academy Licensed Management System For Microsoft Developers Network Academic Alliance)
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Computer Support Group is pleased to announce the distribution of MSDNAA software!
The Microsoft software available is a free download for students in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Students no longer recieve email stating that they have an MSDNAA account. There will be posters around the departments informing everyone of the download availability:
You will now logon to the MSDNAA site with your ISU username and password.
If you have this information you may login to MSDNAA (ELMS).
This login is only available for students in College of Engineering.
Installation
The downloads are available only on Microsoft machines. We know this is somewhat inconvenient for those of you who do not use Microsoft OS, however, because the software will only run on Microsoft platforms it is only reasonable to think that this is what the download would be configured for.
The ELMS software and the download is a bundled package that is somewhat configurable with the licensing constraints. With that in mind the software available for download comes as either an ISO or a .exe file. Both of these versions can be written to CDR/CDRW either on your personal computer or in the Coover Hall Labs.
At the time of the download you will see the license key and one will also be sent to you via your email address needed during the time of the install. Downloading the software within the labs is recommended as the speed is much greater the what you may see from home.
If you have a high speed connection at home that is not restricted, please feel free to also download there.
If you have problems with a download please inform csg
iastate.edu. We will help you and get you back to work.
