Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Catalogs

Each ISU bulletin (the term catalog is used as well) represents a contractual relationship between students and the university. The catalog states what the student must do to pursue and complete a degree at ISU.

Each catalog has its own requirements for achieving a degree; these requirements may change between catalogs.

NOTE: Students can officially change the catalog they are following. The student must be aware of the program differences and meet with an advisor.

Catalogs vs. Classes

Each catalog discusses classes that are offered at ISU at that time. Over the years, course numbers may change, new courses may be offered, and others go away. While your catalog represents the basic rules you must follow to acquire your degree, you must also pay attention to the most recent course offerings from your department.

If courses required for your catalog are no longer offered, the department finds alternatives for you to fulfill your requirements. Check the flowcharts or talk to your advisor for more information on how course changes might affect your catalog.
