Student Services

Student Services is a unit within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department dedicated to student services. Our professional staff is here to help you with:

  • Finding solutions to academic problems

  • Personal concerns
  • Planning your future/career
  • Understanding program requirements

  • Transferring courses from other institutions

Appointments and Walk-Ins

You are always welcome to call the front desk at (515) 294-6092 or visit 216 Nuclear Engineering to see if an advisor is available to help you. If all advisors are busy, you may make an appointment. Advisors usually hold special walk-in hours during busy times of the year, such as registration and the beginning of each semester.

Graduate students are invited to call (515) 294-2667 or stop at 216 Nuclear Engineering any time to see the Graduate Secretary or to schedule an appointment with the ECpE Student Services Manager.

Office Hours

Student Services is generally open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. During the summer, we are usually open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We are closed weekends and on university holidays.
